The Lincoln Lady Cardinals hosted a good Sacred Heart volleyball team Tuesday night. The Lady Gremlins won 25-14, 25-10 and 25-14.
In the first set, senior captain Sammy Altena got her 1,000th career assist for Sacred Heart. The game was stopped for pictures and a brief celebration.
Sacred Heart's Avery Epple went 25-25 serving with four aces and 22 points.
Lincoln played well at times but the lack of size and inexperience came into play. The varsity fell to 2-7.
However, Lincoln scored a big win with a victory over Sacred Heart in the JV game. The Lady Cardinals won two of three 25-22, 20-25 and 15-13.
