The Warsaw R-IX Board of Education met on August 21 to discuss a range of important updates and decisions affecting the school district. Here are the key highlights from the meeting:
Tax Rate Hearing: The board approved the $3.55 tax rate which includes operating (incidental) rate of $2.75 and debt service rate of $0.80.
July Revenue and Expenses were reviewed. This information is always available under the “About” section on our website by selecting “Board of Education” then “Financials”.
The board approved the following: Tuition rate of $8,700 for the 2024-2025 school year; updated Crisis Management Plan & Reunification Plan; West Central Cooperative Agreement (Special Education Co-Op).
During the closed session, several substitute teachers were approved by the board, along with various paraprofessionals, coaches and extra duty positions. The district is pleased with these new hires, as they will make a huge impact on the success of this school year.
Upcoming Events: The next regular board meeting is scheduled for September 18th at 6:30pm in the HS/JBMS Library. A new teacher dinner with the board of education will take place prior to the start of the meeting.
